Jess began her career at the Hippodrome State Theater in Gainesville, Florida before moving to New York City to assist on Broadway productions of A Night With Janis Joplin and Vanya, Sonia, Masha, and Spike.

Since 2015, Jess has designed national TV campaigns for brands including Band-Aid, PediaSure, Crest, and digital spots for Neutrogena, HP and Suave.

Recently she designed the films Son of Monarchs (Sundance '21), Low Tide (A24 '19), Nettles (Slamdance '19, Criterion Channel), Kira Burning (SXSW '18), Dastaar (SXSW '16) and Get Out Fast (Slamdance '17).

Jess received her BFA from the University of Florida and MFA in design from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts. In 2020, she became a member of the Costume Designers Guild, IATSE Local 829.
